PROJECTS, POSITION, PRACTICE: UNVEILING OUR NEW STUDIO WEBSITE
August 25, 2021

Three main sections define our studio’s new website, with a dedicated page titled Position giving new focus to our team’s thinking and design process. Designed by Alexandra Pace Studio with content development by Ann Dingli, the new Valentino Architects website has been launched in parallel with the studio’s sixth anniversary, consolidating our team’s portfolio of work across multiple industry sectors, and articulating the practice’s approach and non-hierarchical set up.

The new website launch comes with a brand refresh and logo update, graduating from Valentino Architects’ pilot identity, designed in 2015, to a bolder typeface and colour profile across the entire site. Our focus for the content and structure of the website has been to prioritise legibility, navigability and accessibility. Primarily, our intention is to provide a clear snapshot into what we build and the way we work, enabling clients, collaborators and colleagues to gain as much information as possible about our studio when visiting.

To do this, we captured all of our activity under three pillars: Projects, Practice and Position. The first provides an overview of our most prominent projects, divided across Residential, Workspace, Retail, Community, Leisure, and Product/Object categories. The second describes our approach, design priorities, as well as details on services, offering a practical description of everything the studio can offer prospective clients. The Practice section also introduces our team, outlining our collective priorities and collaborative work ethic.

The third section, titled Position, is a brand new page that functions as a digital sketchbook. Designed as a blog-style reel of content that chronicles our thoughts on the health and future of the built environment, Position offers a glimpse into the varied thought and making processes that take place behind our work. It captures content including articles and writing from team members, unbuilt or speculative projects; focused design themes; and process work such as model-making, sketching and collaging.
