The German Design Council has awarded four Valentino Architects projects in its annual Iconic Awards programme, whilst earlier this month the studio was longlisted in Dezeen’s Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year award category. Each of the awarded projects has been designed within the past five years across different sites in Malta. Collectively, they demonstrate our team’s priority with environmental and urban impact, as well as our ongoing focus on designing user and context driven buildings and spaces.
The Iconic Awards programme is run by the German Design Council and honours the “best achievements in architecture, innovative interior and product design”. Valentino Architects has been selected in the Interior Retail category, for Dean Gera Salon at the Embassy and Art Diamond; the Interior Domestic category, for 14 East Penthouse; and in the Architecture Domestic category, for Threeplusone. This is the second year our team has been recognised by the Iconic Awards, the first being in 2019 for the studio’s eCabs Booking Office, awarded the Innovative Architecture – Interior ‘Best of Best’ title.
Valentino Architects has also been longlisted in the Dezeen Awards within the Emerging Architecture Studio of the Year 2021 category. The awards programme is in its fourth year and is organised by Dezeen, one of the world’s most influential architecture, interiors and design magazine, which receives over three million readers each month. The studio was selected from over 4,700 entries from 87 countries, as one of 121 studios in the running for awards in 6 different design categories.
